Munkeruphus: Book sustainable meetings in the name of art by the sea.

Munkeruphus in Dronningmølle is an art gallery where art and nature converge, providing a unique venue for meetings, events, theme days, and gatherings. While not the largest venue, Munkeruphus caters to those seeking something special.

The protected villa from 1916 is situated idyllically surrounded by a forest with a view of the sea. Chef Charlotte Nowak works her magic in the kitchen, ensuring that art, culture, design, and sustainability are integral parts of the experience.

Rooms during the summer period

  • Greenhouse: The new beautiful greenhouse with a view of the park and a glimpse of the sea can accommodate up to 46 seated guests. It can be used for more people during standing receptions or if outdoor areas are also included. There are heating lamps, allowing the greenhouse to be used in both spring and autumn.
  • Café: The small cosy café with a view of the park and the sea can be used by smaller groups of up to 25 people.

Rooms during the winter period

  • Café: The small cosy cafe with a fireplace and a view of the park and the sea can be used by smaller groups of up to 25 seated guests (more for standing receptions and setups for lectures, etc.).
  • Atelier: Gunnar Aagaard Andersen's large, exquisite studio on the first floor with a view of the park and the sea can accommodate up to 40 seated guests (more for standing receptions and setups for lectures, etc.).
  • Workspace/Meeting Room: On the first floor, an additional 2 smaller meeting rooms are facing the courtyard, which can be used in various ways. Ideally suited for a maximum of 8-12 seated persons.

Munkeruphus' fantastic chef, Charlotte Nowak, ensures that your visit becomes a delightful culinary experience. Munkeruphus primarily uses organic and local ingredients according to the season. The catering is tailored to fit your event.

The special touch

Munkeruphus is a self-owned institution to promotes art and culture. Operated by a few employees and a large group of volunteers, holding your event at Munkeruphus supports art, and culture, and is an essential gathering point for local enthusiasts.

In addition to delicious food and a unique location, guided tours of exhibitions, lectures on the house's history, Gunnar Aagaard Andersen, or sustainability in art and design are offered.

Surroundings

It's natural to incorporate the surroundings into your visit to Munkeruphus. With a forest, beach, park, and numerous charming spots, there are ideal meeting places. The garden boasts large trees providing shade, and small paths leading past various art installations, and viewpoints.

Munkerup Park allows for hiking high on the cliffs in the forest with a view of the sea, and in the summer, ending the day with a dip in the waves is highly recommended.
