Day 1 - World-class culture

Afternoon check in at Hotel Marienlyst – located right by Øresund. Once you have checked in you will be given a small picnic full of delicacies from local food producers association Smag på Nordsjælland (Taste of North Sealand), which you can enjoy on the beach. Read more

The beach is located right outside the door and from the hotel there is a short stroll to Kronborg Castle and the city centre of Elsinore.

Helsingør Vandrehjem

Hostel Helsingør Vandrerhjem “Villa Moltke” is located right by Øresund with its own private beach. You will get a room with your own shower and toilet, breakfast and two bicycles ready to go.

Restaurant Sletten

Enjoy dinner at Restaurant Sletten. Surrounded by quaint fishing cottages and views across Øresund Sound, the place oozes charm and nostalgia.

Day 2 - World-class culture

Love on a bike is a romantic short break in one of Denmark’s most beautiful and culturally rich areas. Visit the lovely Hammemølle in Hellebæk, cycle through the beautiful landscape and stop by Gurre church and the Flynderupgaard museum before you go to the historical city Elsinore and visit Kronborg castle. Kronborg Castle in Elsinore is one of northern Europe's most important Renaissance castles. Known all over the world from Shakespeare's Hamlet.


Flynderupgård Museum

The museum is located in a large manorstyle country house from the early 19th century. Changing special exhibitions depict the lives of farmers, fishermen and summer residents in eastern North Sealand

Day 3 - World-class culture

After a delightful breakfast the route goes to Louisiana Museum of Modern Art and its panoramic view across Øresund. The museum is surrounded by a sculpture park facing the sea. The interplay between art, architecture and countryside is unique. Read more


Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is the most visited museum in Denmark. The museum shows changing exhibitions, but it also has its own collection of over 3,000 artworks including Picasso, Giacometti, Andy Warhol, Asger Jorn og Per Kirkeby.
