Between Hornbæk and Gilleleje, Dronningmølle Bay stretches in a gentle curve with a wonderfully long, family-friendly beach. The water becomes deep only gradually, so the beach is perfect for toddlers who can play in the small inland lakes and shallow pools. Sunbathe on the wide, fine-grained sandy beach or find your very own spot nestled in the dunes – and savour long, relaxing days in the summer sun.

From the beach, you can hike inland through a wide, green meltwater valley to the protected nature area, Rusland, where Rudolph Tegner’s Museum & Statue Park is located.

Strolling along the beach towards Gilleleje you’ll encounter Munkeruphus, a fascinating art exhibition venue presenting cutting-edge art and design.

Hop on your bike and visit Esrum Abbey a few kilometres south of Dronningmølle. The abbey was a power centre in the Nordic countries during the Middle Ages, and today it is a contemporary attraction that the entire family will enjoy visiting.

Discover the excitement behind the beach

When you’re seeking a bit more than just lazing on the beach and swimming in the clean, refreshing sea, exciting outdoor and cultural experiences await you in Dronningmølle.
