The Order of the Dannebrog was founded in 1671 and is still used today. Get an insight into the creation of the order - how the ceremonies took place and what reforms changed it in the 19th century.
Signs of the Order and the last Danish coronation
In the exhibition, you will find the various symbols and see the portraits of the specially selected recipients. In addition, you can see one of the Dannebrog Order's amazing costumes. It was worn by King Christian VIII at Frederiksborg Castle in 1840 at the last Danish royal coronation.
