Children experiences...

Louisiana of Modern Art-Børnehuset

Events for children

Children should have the best and in North Sealand, we welcome them with open arms. It should be great fun, entertaining and challenging to be on holiday here in North Sealand and who knows - perhaps you learn something new?

We are really good at combining play and learning. Set your fantasy free and be a  knight or a princess for a day at Frederiksborg Castle. Discover a world below sea level at the experience platform in Hundested.

Children are taken seriously in Louisiana’s Children's Wing where the activities for children are based on present exhibitions. And the creativity can hit full pace at Hundested Sand Sculpture Festival where they can challenge their own artistic gifts.

If the children have lots of energy and love to play around, then it could be a good idea to one of the numerous nature playgrounds. Here, you find tables and benches so you can have a picnic in the open.

Find inspiration here to a great holiday with children – then all will be happy... both the little and big ones.

Mysterious sea animals, elegant birds of prey, and cute little piglets

Children love animals and experiences involving animals. In North Sealand, you can enjoy them at sea, on land and in the air. Watch the fantastic animal life under the surface at the experience platform at the harbour in Hundested, the elegant birds of prey flying around the air at Falkonergården (the Falconer House). The little ones love patting a pig or caressing a kitten at the visitors’ farm.

Water and sand...

Sometimes all it needs to make the children happy is water and sand. Fantastic child-friendly sandy beaches where the water low makes the best playground. Here, you can build sandcastles, dig channels, and find beautiful stones and seashells. Most of the beaches have lifeguards during the high season.

At the Castle Lake in Hillerød and Arresø, you can go sailing with the Little Ferry (the Castle Lake) or Frederikke (Arresø).
