Knud Rasmussensvej 9

3390 Hundested

In this house, Knud Rasmussen worked between his many and long expeditions.

The house is located close to Spodsbjerg Lighthouse on the outskirts of Hundested with a great view of the Kattegat. In good weather, you can see all the way to Hesselø, which is approx. 26 km away. The house's rooms were refurbished in 2012 with the original colours and expressions of Knud Rasmussen's time. The polar researcher's intimate "workplace" with fireplace and warm colours was first opened to the public. In other words, there is a good reason to stroll a trip into the magnificent landscape and look inside the unusual and atmospheric workhouse.

Entrance fee and tickets

Please note that the entrance to Knud Rasmussen House is 60 DDK. (Children and adolescent under 18 years free of charge). On the other hand, there is a joint ticket that can also be used for the Krudtværksmuseet in Frederiksværk in June, July and August and the autumn holiday. The common ticket is valid one week.

Let the children play

Let the children discover the polar explorer's different and exciting house. The large open nature area around the house and the impressive host invite to play and proximity to the stunning scenery.
