Munkeruphus' theme for exhibition season 2020 is the topic of CONNECTEDNESS. Our connection with the earth and nature, but also our connection with each other as human beings. Two things that are inextricably linked.
The season begins with a solo exhibition with the young Danish-Australian artist duo ThinkingHand, which consists of Rhoda Ting and Mikkel Dahlin Bojesen.
The exhibition was due to open on April 4 but was postponed due to the Corona crisis. But you can already experience four of the exhibition's works in Munkeruphus' garden, where every weekend from Friday to Sunday at. 12-17 you can also see a movie about the creation of the exhibition.
ThinkingHand works as a kind of aesthetic scientist. When scientific research is translated into sensuous sculptures, attractive installations and performances, we may gain a deeper, more intuitive understanding of complex contexts.
With their works, the artists remind us that we humans are deeply connected to myriads of other life forms on earth, both organic and synthetic. And what can we understand as life and intelligence? Learn more at the exhibition Entangled Encounters.
