Louisiana invites you to lots of outdoor experiences in the park with art, literature, and music throughout the summer. The many adventures under the open sky complement the large indoor exhibitions Kirkeby, Kudo, and Fantastic Women. Visit Louisiana - you'll get extra value for money this summer.

Kusama reflects the universe

The Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, well known by the Louisiana audience, takes over the Lake Garden with the stunning work Narcissus Garden. Eight hundred shiny bubbles in the lake reflect the water, the sky, and the surroundings. The work was first made for the 1966 Venice Biennale but has been installed in a version adapted to Louisiana's Lake Garden.

Sound enhances the experience

The other artwork in the Lake Garden is the sound sculpture The Shallow Sea (2010) by Susan Philipsz. The artist uses sound and music to create an emotionally charged experience of the location. For the first time, the work is presented outdoors.

Zidane on widescreen

An enormous widescreen at the lower park area shows a portrait of the French football superstar Zinedine Zidane. In the artwork, 'Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait', 17 synchronized cameras track the football star over the course for an entire match. The work is one of the sharpest portraits in recent art history.

Entertainment on the Park Stage

On the Park Stage, you can enjoy more than 50 events during the summer: Live-talks, literature, theatre, music, family events, etc. The program is published weekly – check the calendar

Outdoor café

Enjoy a delicious sandwich, a glass of wine or coffee and cake at the museum's new outdoor mini-café. You will find it centrally located in the park, just next to the Park Stage.

All events free with ticket

All events are free for museum guests - remember, before the visit, to book a time slot for arrival time on the museum's website.
