Hop in rainwear and rubber boots and go for a walk along the beach. It's lovely to get wind in the hair - it's just about being warmly dressed. Make it a sport to find beautiful stones; their colours and structures become more apparent in the rain - and hollow rocks bring happiness.
Go on a picnic in Gribskov, Tisvilde Hegn or one of the many other forests in the National Park Royal North Sealand. Here there is shelter, and all the forest scents become more intense in rainy weather. In late summer and autumn, you will find pipe hats, chanterelles, edible mushrooms. Remember a good mushroom guide!
If you are more into indoor experiences, you can visit some of Denmark's most beautiful castles. Immerse yourself in the Middle Ages at Esrum Monastery, enjoy world art in Louisiana and dive into history at Knud Rasmussen's House, at Krudtværket in Frederiksværk or one of the many exciting city museums. A trip to the swimming pool or cinema is also always popular.
