Tisvildeleje is the historic seaside resort where for generations Copenhagen’s bohemians have sought refuge from the limelight and hectic pace of urban life.

Here, by the sea, the forest and the meadows you can relax and become one with nature. The kilometre-long white sandy beach boasts plenty of room for everyone, and you can always find your own little spot in the dunes, or stroll in Tisvilde Hegn and enjoy the silence all by yourself.

But Tisvildeleje also features a vibrant social scene. The music festival Musik i Lejet is trendy, and the annual Kildemarked with crafts, entertainment, food and beverages attracts lots of visitors.

On Saturdays during the summer season, there is a flea market on Birkepladsen. Tisvilde Bio screens quality films and Bio Bistro offers entertainment and great food all year long. Experience a genuine seaside resort vibe in historical, restored bathing hotels where pampering and an inviting ambience are assured.
